"Anchor of Hope" by the Skating Friar, Br. Gabriel M. Cortes (Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Catholic speaker, singer, musician, Emmy-award winner and Motherboard sponsored skater.)
Anchor of Hope Deck: The symbols on this deck illustrate the hope that we should have in the Lord of beauty, majesty and mystery. The evening light of the moon, the mist on the sea, the chain and anchor of hope all convey who God has made Mary to be in our spiritual life namely: the most beautiful captain who guides us on the sea of this life by the light that she receives, like the moon, from her divine Son, the instruction in the fear of the Lord she gives when the waves of tribulation are frighteningly tumultuous and the security that she provides especially in times of great darkness. “I am the mother of fair love, of fear, of knowledge and of holy hope.
Latin: Ego mater pulchrae dilectionis et timoris et agnitionis et santae spei.
